An aspect is an angular relationship between two calculated positions. The orb is the allowed distance from an exact angle in a chosen interpretive convention.
Understand the method
Commonly used major angles include conjunction at 0 degrees, sextile at 60, square at 90, trine at 120 and opposition at 180. A calculator must also handle the wraparound between 359 and 0 degrees.
Use the information carefully
A narrow orb selects fewer relationships than a broad one. Always check which bodies and thresholds a report includes before comparing its list with another app.
Does an aspect prove that an event will happen?
No. The angle can be calculated, but a symbolic reading of that angle does not establish a guaranteed personal outcome.
